Happy Tails

Hi Melanie, things are great with Tiny, we renamed him Rosco. He gets along very well with our other 2 dogs. And everyone he's met

he's been very friendly with. He's been very well at staying in our yard, he likes to play ball & run around. Thanks for checking in.

We want to let you know that everything went perfectly when we picked up Shaggy (whom we renamed Sammy) from the transport on Saturday morning.  We have had a wonderful few days with our darling dog and he is as sweet in person as he was in his video.  We called Home Again yesterday and got Sammy's microchip registered and ordered his permanent tag.  Today we went to the vet and got Sammy started on his heartworm prevention medication.  We also visited our town clerk and got his dog license.  He has already brought so much joy to our lives and we are head over heels in love with him.  Once again we want to thank you and your organization, especially the foster families and transport teams, for the amazing work you do!

Everything is fantastic! We changed Buttercup's name to Mia, which she is responding to. She is a perfect match to me and my entire family. About 2 weeks in, we knew she was feeling very comfortable in her new home because the chihuahua attitude keeps coming out. She lets everyone know that she is present. We truly lucked out with her. We didn't have to do much of anything with her as far as training. She is great on her walks, and boy does she like to go for walks. As soon as I get her and Tyson's harnesses, she dances and wags her tail with such excitement. Mia and Tyson get along so well. That was from the very beginning, so that too was easy.  She continues to shower us with her kisses and she loves her belly rubs. What a huge personality on such a little girl.

Max got a clean bill of health and is heartworm negative. The heartworm test is recorded on his health certificate. Walt will be picking him up tomorrow!Max is a sweet, happy little camper.  He eats & drinks well.  Amazing the commands he already responds to.  He seems to like the yard here...he can stand on a top step by the fence & see folks outside.  He's very alert & inquisitive.  Thank you & your group for saving him....he will bring a lot of joy & live a far better life than being tied out 24/7...not sure how anyone could do that to such a tiny thing.  He's very adaptable...

Hi Melanie,

I hope this email finds you well.

I've been meaning to write you to let you know that

Buddy is doing great. He is now known as Batman and loves flying in the dog run. He is a beauty to watch loping so fast. Like you said once, It is hard to capture him and his shining coat glory. Wherever we go he is truly admired. He is a joy and funny and  stunning and keeps us on our toes!

Again, thank you for sending Batman to us!

We Love her!  She is sweet and behaves very well with my son!  We have named her Hermione.  My son is a HUGE Harry Potter fan.  I can’t believe she came so close to being euthanized.  Thank you for all you do and for giving us our very special gift!

Hi Melanie,

My name is  Heather Raggi. My husband and I had the pleasure of adopting one of your puppies last year. I wasn't sure if you kept updates on your rescued pups but I thought it would be nice to show you a picture of her in our home. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. We adopted her under the name Amora but we then named her Ziva. Although she was predicted to be a boxador (like our other dog), after a mouth swab and $80, we determined she is actually mostly brittany spaniel, boxer, and some other kinds as well. She loves running at our dog park, playing with toys and cuddling with her 95 brother Jax.  I just wanted to share that we had a great experience with you and will keep you in mind for any future pets we plan to adopt.

Thank you for all that you do.

Heather

Just thought I should share how well Spud (Buddy #2) is settling in to his new life :)

Hi Melanie,

I just wanted to give you an update on Shaggy/Scout.  She continues to delight us.  She still has a lot of puppy in her and occasionally chews things she shouldn't but she is so charming and cute we can't stay mad at her.  She also really lifts up her pup-pal, Sandi and gets her moving and playing more. I am attaching a picture of her from the top of our stairs.

She is the sweetest thing ever.  We gave up on the kennel. She does pretty well when we just leave her out with our other dog. She seems to be doing better and better the more she knows us.

Thanks again!

Erin

  • Thor the adopted pet spending time indoors laying around with the family.

Hi Melanie,

We're writing to give you an update on Thor (or Bear as he's now called).  He's settled in very nicely into our family, and we're so ecstatic to have such an affectionate and happy little guy in our life.

Bear has a great time on his daily walks through the beautiful forest trails right by our house.  He was also a huge hit in Whistler village during our ski trip.

Thank you again for working with us to bring Bear to BC!

Cheers,

Joanne & Sean
