My name is Brutus! I am one and a half years old and weigh approximately 50 lbs. (2/2/21). I was surrendered to the rescue because my owner will be having a baby soon and does not have a fenced-in yard, so she has been having trouble exercising me regularly. I have been a little active indoors the older I get, but my previous owner believes that if I had a fenced yard to run around in, I would probably be very mellow . She also said that I have a great temperament and that I love everybody! I will bark if someone knocks at the door, but as soon as they come in I greet them with a wagging tail. I get along great with other dogs, cats, and kids. In fact, my best four-legged friend is a small dog. I also enjoy playing with the family cat. One of my favorite games is tug of war, but I also love to play ball and frisbee. I will even bring them back to you! Another favorite is wrestling with the kids in the family. I ride well in the car and I'm house-trained. I will either whine or sit by the door when I need to go out. I'm used to sleeping in a wire crate at night, but would be perfectly happy to share a bed with someone. I won't get on the furniture in the living room in my previous home unless I am told that I can do so. I listen well and know how to sit. My two main behavioral issues are that I jump on people and that I will shred a dog bed, but everything good about me far outweighs the bad! I am ready and waiting to go to my new forever home!
