Cooper

My name is Cooper! I was born 2/22/22 and I weigh 30 to 35 lbs. I am fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I was surrendered to the rescue because of my previous owners health issues. I am very loving and super eager to please! I would follow my previous owner from room to room and wanted to see everything that he was doing and everything that was going on. After a good day of exercise and playing fetch I would lay at his feet or on the sofa with him when just hanging out. I enjoy playing with other dogs. I am good with children but, typical of my breed, I do tend to herd them if the children are running. I am housetrained and I sleep in a crate at night. I will bark at strangers but warm up to them quickly. I will walk on a leash, but need some leash work because I do pull at times. I don’t really do well on car rides because I get carsick. My previous owner was physically unable to work with me so I do need some basic obedience training. I am neutered, on heartworm prevention, and my vaccines are up-to-date. I am very eager to please and I am a fast learner! I know the commands sit, leave it, and come.  I will need daily exercise and I would really love to have a job to do! I am ready and waiting to go to my new forever home!
