My name is Handsome. I am two and a half years old and I weigh 25 lbs. I am very smart and a quick learner. I love being with people and getting lots of petting and snuggle time. I have lots of love and loyalty to give in return. I'm just a little bit shy when meeting someone new, but I warm up quickly. I am well behaved in the house. I stay off of the furniture and out of the trash. I have a medium energy level and I ride well in the car. I only bark when the other dogs bark. I get along well with all of the other dogs in my foster home and really like playing with them. They range in age from 4 mos.- seniors and in size from 5 lbs to 120 lbs. One of my favorite games to play with my dog buddies is chase. I'm also good with children but I don't know about cats - the rescue doesn't have any. I am eager to find a family that I can call my own. Belly rubs are a must!
My previous owner kept me crated on the porch a lot. He ended up going to prison and someone saw me on the porch and called animal control. When my time was almost up with animal control, I was taken into the rescue. I am now fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. My foster can tell how grateful I am now that I am in a foster home with a fenced-in backyard and freedom in the house! I am neutered, up-to-date on my rabies and dhpp vaccines, and I am heartworm negative. Copies of my vet records will accompany me.
