My name is Maverick! I was born 9/15/17 and I weigh 86 lb. I have my AKC papers and an obedience training certificate. I was turned in to the rescue because by previous owner no longer had the time to give me the exercise that I needed. He said that I'm very agile and that I can jump and catch a frisbee 8 feet up in the air. I have lots of energy I need an active owner that can provide me with plenty of daily exercise. I load up and ride well in the car. I will walk on a leash but I do pull sometimes. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy playing with them. I also enjoy being petted and spending time with my people. I am house trained. I'm good with children, but the only children I have ever really been around are older children. My previous owner says he believes that I would do fine with younger children, but we don't know for sure since I have not been exposed to them. I bark when the other dogs bark. I am very smart and I've already learned to open the fence gates at my foster home, so now they have locks on them. I'm very attentive to my surroundings and very alert. I would like a large fenced-in yard and family that will provide me with lots of daily exercise. I would do great at agility training! I'm ready and waiting to go to my new forever home!
