My name is Roxy! I am 10 mos. old annd I weigh approximately 45 lbs (10/15) I am fostered in Mt. Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I was surrendered to the rescue because my owners could no longer take care of me. I have an excellent temperament! I'm a happy girl and I love being with my people! In fact, in my mind, I am a lap baby! I also love playing with toys and playing chase with my best friend, a 15 lb. wirehaired terrier mix. Life is just one big party to me! I am good with dogs of all sizes and ages, I don't know about cats because the rescue does not have any. I am great with kids as you can see in my videos on the rescues website. It takes me a minute or two to warm up to strangers and then I just assume that they love me and want to pet me. I only bark when the other foster dogs are barking.
I am house trained and crate trained. I ride well in the car. I walk on a leash, but will pull if I get excited. I don't get on the furniture. I follow my foster mom around the house. I enjoy being outside with another dog or a person. I will need daily exercise! I would be a great companion for someone that enjoyed outdoor activities such as a runner or a hiker. In the evenings I like to just chill with my family. I am smart and I learn quickly. I would love to have another dog to play with, a child to throw the ball for me, or an active family. I am ready and waiting to go to my new forever home!
